How do I create a new tour?βΎ
Open the TourBot app and tap "Create Tour" on the home screen. Give your tour a name, choose a starting location, and add stops by searching for places or tapping on the map. You can reorder stops at any time by dragging them in the tour editor.
How many stops can I add to a tour?βΎ
There is no hard limit on the number of stops you can add. Keep in mind that very long tours may take more time to load and navigate. We recommend keeping tours focused to 5β15 stops for the best experience.
Can I edit a tour after I have created it?βΎ
Yes. Open the tour from your tour list, tap the edit icon, and you can add, remove, or reorder stops, change the tour name or description, and update any stop details. Changes are saved automatically.
Can I share a tour with someone else?βΎ
Yes. From the tour detail screen, tap the share button to generate a shareable link. Anyone with the link can view and follow the tour even without a TourBot account.
How do I delete a tour?βΎ
Go to the tour detail screen, open the menu (three-dot icon), and select "Delete Tour." This action is permanent and cannot be undone, so please confirm before proceeding.

How does the AI tour guide work?βΎ
TourBot uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to generate contextual information about each stop on your tour. When you arrive at a location, the AI guide provides historical background, interesting facts, and answers to your questions based on publicly available knowledge.
Is the AI guide information always accurate?βΎ
The AI guide strives to be helpful and informative, but AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, outdated details, or inaccuracies. Always verify important information from official sources β especially for safety-critical decisions like hours of operation, entrance requirements, or travel advisories.
Can I ask the AI guide questions?βΎ
Absolutely. During an active tour, you can chat directly with the AI guide by tapping the chat icon. Ask about the history of a landmark, request nearby recommendations, or ask follow-up questions about anything on your tour.
Does the AI guide work offline?βΎ
No β the AI guide requires an active internet connection because responses are generated in real time by Anthropic's API. Basic navigation and map features may still function with limited connectivity.
What language does the AI guide support?βΎ
The AI guide can respond in multiple languages. Simply ask your question in your preferred language and the guide will do its best to respond accordingly.

How do I create an account?βΎ
Download TourBot from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, and tap "Sign Up." Enter your email address and choose a password. You will receive a verification email β click the link inside to activate your account.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?βΎ
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address associated with your account. We will send you a password reset link. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.
How do I update my profile information?βΎ
Go to the Profile tab in the app, then tap "Edit Profile." You can update your name and other account details from there.
How do I delete my account?βΎ
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Profile β Settings β Delete Account. Alternatively, email us at support@tourbot.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and we will process it within 30 days.
π³Subscriptions & Billing
What does a TourBot subscription include?βΎ
A TourBot premium subscription unlocks unlimited AI guide interactions, the ability to create and save more tours, and access to exclusive premium features as they are released. Free users can still create tours and use the AI guide with usage limits.
How do I cancel my subscription?βΎ
Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store β not directly through TourBot. On iOS, go to Settings β [Your Name] β Subscriptions. On Android, open the Play Store β Profile β Payments & Subscriptions β Subscriptions. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?βΎ
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google depending on where you purchased the subscription. Visit Apple's Report a Problem page or the Google Play refund support page to request a refund. TourBot does not process refunds directly.
Will my subscription automatically renew?βΎ
Yes, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You will not receive a separate notification before each renewal.
Is there a free trial?βΎ
Free trials may be offered from time to time. If a free trial is available, it will be displayed on the subscription screen in the app. Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless you cancel before the trial ends.
π§Technical Issues
The app is not detecting my location. What should I do?βΎ
Make sure location permissions are enabled for TourBot. On iOS: Settings β Privacy & Security β Location Services β TourBot β select "While Using the App." On Android: Settings β Apps β TourBot β Permissions β Location β Allow. Also ensure your device's GPS is turned on and that you have a clear view of the sky.
The app is crashing or freezing. How do I fix this?βΎ
Try these steps in order: (1) Force-close and reopen the app. (2) Ensure your device has available storage space. (3) Update TourBot to the latest version from the App Store or Play Store. (4) Restart your device. If the problem persists, contact us at support@tourbot.app with your device model and OS version.
Can I use TourBot without an internet connection?βΎ
Basic tour navigation using cached data may work with limited connectivity, but AI guide responses, map tile loading, and syncing tours require an internet connection. We recommend using TourBot with a stable connection for the best experience.
The map is not loading properly. What should I do?βΎ
Check your internet connection first. If connected, try clearing the app cache (Android: Settings β Apps β TourBot β Storage β Clear Cache) or reinstalling the app. On iOS, offloading and reinstalling the app from the App Store can also resolve map display issues.
πPrivacy & Data
What data does TourBot collect?βΎ
TourBot collects account information (email, name), location data while you use guided tours (foreground only), tour usage data, and limited technical/diagnostic data to improve the app. We do not sell your personal data. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Is my location tracked in the background?βΎ
No. TourBot only accesses your location while the app is actively in use (foreground). We do not track your location in the background and we do not share location data with third parties for advertising.
How do I request a copy of my data?βΎ
Email us at support@tourbot.app with the subject "Data Access Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days with a summary of the data we hold.
How is my data secured?βΎ
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text. We conduct regular security assessments and restrict access to user data to authorized personnel only.
